Seal of Excellence awarded to over a quarter of applicants, who missed out on EU funding
The European Commission has awarded the Seal of Excellence to 2,885 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions applicants, who missed out on funding from the scheme despite submitting what the Commission described as “outstanding” proposals.
Individual Fellowship calls for the MSCA scheme, which funds researcher mobility and training, received a record 11,382 proposals in 2020, of which only 1,630 (14.3 per cent) could be funded, the Commission said on 26 March.
