All publications should allow text reuse and data mining, says umbrella group of national associations
The global umbrella body for science academies has urged the academic community to unify in support of universal open access.
The International Science Council—which aims to be “a global voice for science”—represents 40 international scientific unions and associations and more than 140 national and regional scientific organisations, ranging from the Australian Academy of Science to the Research Council of Zimbabwe. It has now put that considerable weight behind wider open access for research results.
