England’s regulator seeking broad improvements to support for students who have been in care
Universities should offer year-round accommodation to students who have been in care as part of a drive to create consistent support for them, the Office for Students has suggested.
Students who have been in care are significantly more likely to drop out of university than their peers, less likely to achieve a first or a 2:1 and less likely to attend a high-tariff university, according to the regulator.
