Peers say government should “align actions and rhetoric” to exploit opportunity presented by batteries
The government should increase its investment in research on batteries and fuel cells if it is to meet its ambition to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, an influential group of peers has warned.
“The government must align its actions and rhetoric in order to take advantage of the great opportunity presented by batteries and fuel cells for UK research and manufacturing,” said Narendra Patel, chair of the House of Lords Science and Technology Select Committee.
