Former government adviser’s think tank calls for overhaul of university system to increase value
A think tank run by a former adviser to the Department for Education has argued that “homogenous” universities should be split into two camps of “local” and “national” institutions.
In a report published on 29 July, the EDSK think tank argued that the government should “break up the homogenous higher education sector” to offer “better value for students, taxpayers and local communities”.
