Neil Ferguson says more funding and incentives are needed to motivate scientists to share data
Scientists should be rewarded for making it easy for people to reuse code and data used in their research, a top epidemiologist has said.
Neil Ferguson, a professor of mathematical biology at Imperial College London whose work was instrumental to the government’s decision to impose a national lockdown in England in March 2020, was speaking during a Science and Technology Committee hearing on reproducibility and research integrity.
