Consultation on New Zealand science funding closes

                   

Submissions highlighted workforce issues, Māori contributions and the importance of connection and collaboration

Science funding reform in New Zealand is needed and should address work insecurity, environmental challenges and Māori issues, an early analysis of a national consultation has found.

When submissions to the Future Pathways green paper closed on 16 March, around 800 submissions had been made, according to a statement from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. Another 2,500 people participated in consultation and feedback workshops and forums.
