Some research centres continue to lack access to the organisation’s online networks
The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC)—Spain’s main public body for science, technology and innovation—has reported a cyberattack on its systems, which it says appears to have originated in Russia.
In an announcement on 2 August, the CSIC explained that no sensitive or confidential information has, to date, been identified as lost or stolen in the attack, which took place on 16-17 July and was detected the following day.
