Autonomy and innovation among watchwords in five-point plan
France’s government has laid out a five-point plan for the ministry of higher education and research, which follows the same direction set during president Emmanuel Macron’s first term, including pursuing links with business and greater autonomy for universities.
Speaking at a press conference following a meeting of ministers styled as a “government seminar”, Élisabeth Borne, who was appointed as prime minister in May, said she was laying out a total of 60 priority goals for France’s various ministries, “accompanied by specific and targeted objectives”.
