Scheme will support 25 PhDs in five countries and foster research “equity”
A United Kingdom charity, the Hamish Ogston Foundation, has announced a £1.5 million (US$1.7m) fund to support early-career health researchers in five African countries.
The Platinum Jubilee Health Training Programme, named for Queen Elizabeth II’s 70-year reign, will fund 25 PhD scholars based in Ethiopia, The Gambia, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
