Merger of Irish Research Council and Science Foundation Ireland forms part of Impact 2030 strategy
Ireland’s government has announced that it is ready to publish a national research and innovation bill that will create a unified research and innovation funding agency.
The agency will be formed through a merger of two major public science funders: the Irish Research Council and Science Foundation Ireland. The merger forms an essential part of Ireland’s Impact 2030 research and innovation roadmap, which was launched last May.
