Chloe Smith boasts potential of UK tech industry but warns opportunities “come with risks”

Interim science secretary Chloe Smith has insisted the UK’s growing technology sector is “open for business” as she stressed the importance of regulation in the fields of robotics and automation.

Speaking at the International Conference on Robotics and Automation in London on 30 May, Smith said Britain could become “the best place in the world to start and scale a safe and successful robotics business”.
