The Gatsby Charitable Foundation seeks to fill in the funding gaps for early career researchers
A small funder that awards a handful of grants each year of relatively modest sums, the Gatsby Charitable Foundation is nonetheless well known in plant science circles for backing projects that go on to launch major new research programmes.
Its Small Grants programme is open year-round to plant sciences researchers who can use the funding for pump-priming projects, for bridging purposes, for purchasing a key piece of equipment, or for developing community resources.
