Science minister Sam Gyimah has sought to reassure politicians and researchers that the government is pulling out all the stops to forge a science deal with the European Union.
Amid rising concern over the impact of a no-deal Brexit on science, he faced questions in parliament from his fellow MPs about the threat to research funding and collaborations from leaving the EU.
Speaking in the House of Commons on 6 September, Gyimah said, “I’m extremely confident there is scope for a win-win deal as far as science is concerned.”
