The European Chemicals Agency and European Defence Agency say they have revamped their structures, with Echa saying this will enable it to do more work in important areas.
Echa, which is the EU’s chemicals regulation authority, has been reorganised to help it take on extra tasks and face future challenges, the agency said on 10 January. It is recruiting a new director and several new heads of unit, it said.
According to the agency, “the reorganisation aims to support the implementation of Echa’s new strategy, step up work in key areas, allow efficient and flexible ways of working and enable Echa to take on more responsibilities”.
